Mission and Vision of SAA

Vision

SAA envisions an an African continent free of HIV, TB and Malaria, promptly and equitably responding to emerging infectious diseases and their debilitating effects, with no stigma and discrimination against PLHIV, key and vulnerable populations and with active political commitment to the Abuja Declaration.

Mission

An African-led and owned organization that collaborate with other national, regional and international organizations, donors and other partners to institute policies and promote research and knowledge to supports African governments’ national responses and strengthens the health systems to control and mitigate the impact of HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria and other emerging infections.

Our Goal

To contribute towards the UNAIDS goal and the AU catalytic framework of achieving the 95-95-95 targets by 2025, ending the AIDS epidemic as a public health threat by 2030 in Africa, contributing to the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and facilitating the strengthening of the health systems in Africa towards attaining the Sustainable Development Goals for health.
